Exploring Voice Search: The Future of SEO Unravelled

The human voice is replacing the keyboard, which profoundly affects SEO. Here’s how to stay ahead of the AI curve.

As we step further into the era of digital personal assistants and smart home devices, the way consumers search for information online is changing. Today, we want to discuss one of the fastest-growing search engine optimization (SEO) areas: Voice Search.

The Rise of Voice Search

In recent years, voice search has surged in popularity. Consumers appreciate the convenience of speaking their queries aloud, especially when multitasking or on the go. With the proliferation of devices like Amazon’s Alexa, Google Home, and Apple’s Siri, it’s easier than ever to perform a voice search, and this trend is only set to grow.

By 2023, experts predict that more than half of all households worldwide will own a smart speaker. Meanwhile, many mobile internet users also use voice search, reinforcing that voice is becoming a dominant search mode.

The Impact on SEO

As voice search becomes more prevalent, it will undoubtedly alter the face of SEO as we know it. This evolution will challenge marketers to adjust their strategies to accommodate this new search form.

Firstly, voice searches are typically longer and more conversational than typed queries. People speak differently than they type, and voice search is more likely to include full questions and natural language. This means keyword strategies must be revised to focus on long-tail and conversational phrases.

Secondly, voice searches are often local. People frequently use voice search to find nearby businesses or attractions. Thus, companies must ensure that their local SEO is robust and that they’re appearing in local search results.

Thirdly, speed matters in voice search. Google has clarified that fast loading times are a critical ranking factor for voice searches. This means that website performance optimization is more important than ever.

Preparing for the Voice Search Revolution

So, how can businesses adapt and prepare for the continued rise of voice search?

  • Optimize for Conversational Queries: As mentioned, voice searches are often more conversational and question-based. This means focusing on long-tail keywords and phrases that mimic natural speech patterns. It’s also good to anticipate your audience’s questions and provide clear, concise answers.
  • Improve Local SEO: Ensure your business appears in local search results by maintaining an up-to-date Google My Business listing and incorporating local keywords into your website’s content.
  • Speed Up Your Website: Faster loading times benefit voice search and improve user experience. Prioritize website performance optimization and regularly monitor your site’s speed.
  • Design for Mobile: Many voice searches are conducted on mobile devices, so having a mobile-friendly website is crucial. This means responsive design, easy navigation, and quick loading times on mobile.
  • Structured Data Implementation: Structured data helps search engines understand your content and provide more accurate results. This could be especially important for voice search, as digital assistants must quickly offer precise information.

Final Thoughts

As you can see, leveraging voice search in a digital marketing strategy is crucial for businesses aiming to stay competitive and reach their target audience effectively – and adapt to their evolving behaviors and expectations.

SEO Optimization Tips for Your Website

With millions of websites vying for users’ attention, standing out can be tricky. Yet, there is a solution: SEO Optimization.

By optimizing your website for SEO, you can improve your website’s ranking in SERPs and attract more traffic. So, buckle up and get ready to learn how to make your website an SEO powerhouse! This blog will explore the steps you can take to optimize your website for SEO and achieve online success. Here’s what you need to know.

Understanding SEO

SEO, or search engine optimization, improves your website’s ranking in search engine results pages (SERPs) by optimizing its content, structure, and performance. SEO aims to make your website more visible to users searching for keywords related to your business or industry. But how do search engines determine which websites to display on their results pages?

Understanding SEO is crucial for optimizing your website and attracting more traffic. Search engines use complex algorithms that analyze various factors, such as the relevance and quality of a website’s content, its structure and organization, and its performance and user experience. The higher your website ranks in SERPs, the more likely users are to visit your site. Let’s look at some ways you can optimize your website for SEO.

Conducting Keyword Research

Keywords are the cornerstone of SEO and pay-per-click (PPC) marketing campaigns. To improve your website’s SEO, ranking at the top of Google’s search results should be your top priority. By identifying your website’s most relevant and high-traffic keywords, you can attract quality website traffic that may turn into leads and new clients.

Fortunately, various tools are available to conduct keyword research, such as Google Keyword Planner. If your marketing budget allows, you can also invest in pay-per-click ads to get organic results for your website. With Google Ads, advertisers bid to appear at the top of search results for specific keywords. Choosing keywords that indicate a user is ready to buy can be a smart strategy for a paid search campaign. You can improve your website’s ranking and attract traffic by targeting the right keywords.

Optimizing Your Website’s Content

Optimizing your website’s content is crucial to attract more traffic and improve your website’s search engine optimization (SEO). Creating high-quality, original content relevant to your target audience is essential. Using relevant keywords throughout your content can help, but be careful not to overuse them, as keyword stuffing can result in penalties from search engines.

Another effective strategy is to use internal links to help search engines understand the structure of your website and the relationships between pages. Internal links can improve the user experience and encourage visitors to explore your site further. Additionally, external links to reputable sources can enhance your website’s credibility and authority in the eyes of search engines.

Headlines are also an essential aspect of optimizing your website’s content. Using H1 and H2 tags for your headlines and including your target keywords can improve your website’s ranking in SERPs. Remember that the quality and relevance of your content are essential factors in SEO. Therefore, focus on creating informative, engaging, and helpful content for your target audience.

Remember that SEO is an ongoing process, and it may take some time to see results. Stay committed to creating high-quality content that provides value to your audience, and you will see the benefits over time.

Optimizing Your Website’s Structure

Your website’s structure is another paramount factor in SEO optimization. A well-structured website makes it easier for search engines to crawl and index your pages. Here are some tips for optimizing your website’s structure:

  • Use a Simple URL Structure: Your website’s URLs should be readable. Avoid using long, complex URLs that include unnecessary characters.
  • Use a Mobile-Friendly Design: More users are accessing websites from their mobile devices. Websites should have a responsive design that looks great on desktop and mobile devices.
  • Use Schema Markup: Schema markup is a code that helps search engines understand your website’s content. Using schema markup, you can improve your website’s visibility in search engine results pages.

Regularly reviewing your website’s analytics and search engine rankings can help you identify areas for improvement and adjust your SEO strategy accordingly.

Continually Improving Your SEO

SEO isn’t a one-time fix. It is an ongoing process that requires regular monitoring and improving your website’s SEO. Here are some tips for monitoring and improving your SEO:

  • Use Google Analytics: Google Analytics provides valuable insights into your website’s traffic and performance. Use it to track your website’s traffic and identify areas for improvement.
  • Regularly Update Your Content: Updating your website’s content can improve your SEO and attract more traffic. Aim to update your content at least once a week.
  • Monitor Your Website’s Backlinks: Backlinks from reputable sources can improve your website’s credibility and ranking. Use tools like Ahrefs to monitor your website’s backlinks and identify areas for improvement.

Additionally, regularly updating your website’s content with new and relevant information can help improve its visibility in search engine results pages (SERPs). By consistently monitoring and improving your website’s SEO, you can attract more traffic and achieve online success over the long term.

SEO Tips to Drive Web Traffic

The first step in any successful inbound strategy is to attract strangers to visit your site. But putting it into practice can be tricky.

If you don’t take time to get this right early on, then everything else in your marketing strategy can fall apart. Looking to drive more website traffic to your homepage? Here are a couple tips to help get you started.

Optimize Your Website for “Searchers.”

When it comes to SEO, you might think that you’re supposed to optimize your site for search engines. And while optimizing for search engines can be a great way to get more traffic, it’s not the only way.

If you really want to optimize your content for searchers, you need to focus on how they’re going to interact with it. When you create a website that can answer questions and solve problems for them, it will be much more valuable than a site that just shows up in search results.

So when you’re creating a new website or updating an old one, don’t just think about what people will find when they search for something. Think about what they need help with when they arrive on your site.

Emphasize on Keywords

Keywords are like bridges that search engines use to connect the searcher with your content. But if you want those bridges to get traffic, your content has to be interesting enough for them to want to visit your site. When it comes to keyword research, it’s important that you know who your personas are. That way you can create content that addresses their specific needs and problems.

Utilize User-Friendly Websites

Cognitive fluency is the idea that we tend to like people and things that are familiar or similar to things we already know. It helps explain why we like our friends and family so much more than strangers. It explains why every time we see a new car on the road its design seems so familiar; and it explains why websites that attract more traffic tend to have a similar look and feel as other popular sites.

So what does this mean for your website? Well, if you want viewers to trust you or find your services valuable, then it’s important that they see something familiar when they visit your site. But how do you get there?

One easy way is to simply ask your current customers what they’d expect to see on a website like yours. You can ask them about the design or style choices they’d like to see. If your website doesn’t match their descriptions, it might be time to look into additional website optimization strategies.

Utilize Blog Posts

Blog posts are an essential part of your marketing strategy. You can use your blog posts to show that you have expertise in the area, that you understand their problems, and that you have solutions for them. When they visit your site, they’ll see that you’re not just some faceless corporation—you’re a person who cares about what they need and who wants to help them succeed.

If you want to attract visitors to drive sustained traffic to your side, then you need to keep blogging consistently. Blogging on a regular basis gives search engines a reason to crawl your website on a regular basis – again, giving you more opportunities for those search engines to discover and index your pages.

Content Tips to Improve Your SEO

Content writing is a key aspect of any business website or blog. It’s time to adapt, acknowledge your audience, and never skimp on quality — especially when it comes to your content.

We’ve all heard the myths. You need to trick the Google algorithm if you want to rank well in search results, or your content has to be so keyword-heavy that it’s almost unreadable.

But here’s the truth: All you need is a solid plan, and that starts with understanding what Google is actually looking for when it comes to ranking content.

Check out our tips to create high performing content that can also help improve your search rankings.

Keyword Research

If you want to reach your target audience, you need to know what they’re looking for.

The first step is to identify your main keyword, which will be the focus of your content. Then, add 5-10 additional keywords that are related to your primary keyword and represent variations of it. For example, if your main keyword is “movies,” you might also include “cinema” and “film.”

Next, think about how people might search for this topic online—what questions would they ask? Then, use those questions as secondary keyword targets. You can also consider synonyms and related terms as additional keywords.

Finally, look at the search volume of each keyword (the number of times people have searched for it over time) and its difficulty level (how many other sites are competing for that same term). The sweet spot is high search volume with low difficulty—when you find this combination of words, it will give you a leg up on other companies who haven’t incorporated them into their content strategy yet!

Structure Content

When writing online content, it’s important to think about how you structure your writing. This will help ensure that your readers can easily read and understand your content, which is key if you want them to stay on your site and engage with you.

It’s also important to remember that people come from all different backgrounds and may not have the same knowledge base as you do. Therefore, it’s important to make sure you don’t use technical language or jargon that could confuse them.

Here are some tips you can use as a guideline to structuring your content:

  • Only discussing one topic per paragraph.
  • Avoiding lengthy sentences.
  • Highlighting main ideas by bolding, italicizing or changing fonts.
  • Include bulleted or numbered lists.

Align Visuals with Content

Visuals have been shown to improve readers’ comprehension of the content they’re reading. When including visuals, be sure to optimize their size, names and Alt tags. These practices will ensure quicker page load times, make your content unique, more descriptive and more engaging for your reader.

Visuals like images, videos, infographics, checklists, templates, etc. break up your content and allow readers to digest content quicker than text alone. A visual break in content can also help you keep readers engaged with your writing by giving them a break from reading blocks of text.

Here are some tips for using visuals in your content:

1. Use images that are relevant to the topic at hand.

2. Optimize your images by making them smaller in file size and optimizing their file type (png vs jpeg).

3. Name your image files descriptively so people can find what they’re looking for easily in search engines.

4. Include Alt tags on all of your images so people who use screen readers can still access the contents of those images without having to open them in separate windows or tabs first

How To Improve Your Ad Campaigns

Search Engine Marketing (SEM) is a valuable method to earning the coveted top spot on Search Engine Result Pages (SERPs). However, without a solid strategy, you will soon see underwhelming campaign results and ad spend issues.

Here are a few red flags to watch out for and some extra tips to help boost underperforming SEM campaigns:

Clicks are Few to None

If your SEM campaigns keywords aren’t relevant to a user’s search intent and where they are in their buyer’s journey, Google’s less likely to show your ads. Keyword research can help you target relevant keywords that satisfy Google and your users so they engage more with your ads.

Start your keyword research by using a keyword tool. If you use Google for your marketing needs, you can utilize Google Keywords. You can use the tool to discover new keywords, research keywords, and creating an advertising plan to share with your marketing team. The tool “cleans” your keywords by removing unnecessary characters and duplicates, groups keywords by campaigns, and more.

Poor Performance Tracking

If you want to measure the success of your SEM strategy, tracking your keywords’ positions can help you do that. If a competitor starts targeting or ranking for the same keywords as you, tracking their positions can alert you. Tracking relevant campaign KPIs helps you understand the following:

  • Keyword performance: Successful ad campaigns hinge on finding the right keywords. If the target keywords you’re using aren’t driving relevant traffic, you can quickly change them.
  • Media and content types your audience resonates with: By A/B testing campaigns with different media and content types, you gain insight into which media types drive engagement and help boost conversions.
  • Audience behavior: You can analyze audience behavior and tell which parts of your ad campaign your target audience is not engaging with.
  • Channel attribution: This enables you to focus more resources on these channels. Google Attribution is an excellent tool that can help.

Multi-Media Planning for Ad Campaigns

Media should be considered an integral part of your advertising campaigns. You can use different media types in the same campaign to create a seamless customer experience. Using a combination of websites, text messages, and YouTube videos may help you achieve this goal.

If your ad campaign assets aren’t in sync across all platforms, your customer will become confused and your engagement and conversion rates will suffer. With the right tools, multi-media planning will be significantly easier. Ad campaigns are optimized to offer customers a positive CX as they move across different platforms on your buyer journey.

How To Increase Your Online Visibility Through Social Media

Social media plays a vital role in today’s society. It can help you generate buzz around your products and your brand by having users share your content. But social networks are incredibly busy and filled with stimuli. With so much going on, how do you make sure that users will find your content throughout all this mess? Read on to find out more…

Social media is a great resource when it comes to increasing your online visibility. There are so many ways that an organization’s pages can be optimized in order to do so.

We’ll take a look at how you can bring a couple of strategies together to generate more searches for your business—and from this, achieve a greater online presence.

Does Social Media Posting Help With Online Visibility?

While social media cannot directly impact your rankings, you can create a more holistic approach to online marketing. However, social media activity can raise your company’s profile and increase the clicks on their website. What are you aiming to achieve by linking social media activity with online visibility? Here’s a couple things you can do to get started:

  • Getting clicks on your organization’s website
  • Having an increase in online searches for the company
  • Social shares for a wider post reach and increased audience
  • Sharing information to help analyze social engagement

All of the things above have one thing in common and that is that they all increase the possibilities for lead opportunities. The way you can achieve lead opportunities above is by having and creating quality content. Often times quality content gets overlooked, its truly one of the best ways you can leverage and boost your online presence.

Which Social Media Platforms Are the Best for SEO?

Which platforms do you currently use? Most social media platforms can help with online visibility. A lot of people have that mindset, but you should honestly be thinking about  using the platforms that will help you reach your target audience. Each social media platform works slightly differently when it comes to encouraging clicks and shares.

It goes without saying most brands have a Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, Instagram and Google My Business accounts. But many businesses also utilize Youtube, Tiktok and Pinterest. But which performs best? Facebook continues to be powerful all over the world. With more than 1.71 billion monthly users, the social media platform is ripe for SEO. Be attentive with your company page and find and nourish your best promoters on the platform. Facebook is a great lead generator, so always stay on brand and use targeted keywords in your posts. Make sure to cross-post videos you produce and publish on your YouTube account as well.

Although Meta owns both Facebook and Instagram, they perform differently for different organizations’ offerings.

Also, any social platform a company uses has to be “on brand” for them, otherwise it will defeat the purpose of boosting your SEO. At the end of the day, a great website should have all the key elements of an effective inbound marketing strategy:

  • An active blog.
  • Responsive design.
  • Intuitive navigation.
  • Effective conversion strategy with calls to action.

What Are the Best Ways to Optimize Social Media for Better Online Visibility?

How can you make the most of your brand’s social media platforms? Here are a couple of techniques that you can use to improve your websites online visibility.

LinkedIn & Facebook

Most people breeze by “SEO-ing” their About us/Summary section. It’s one of the easiest ways to put the information you want out there for leads to easily access. Filling out as much as you can in the About section is a great start.

  • The “About” summary section gives you the capacity to use 2,600 characters (on LinkedIn, Facebook gives you 50,000!) to explain what you do. Use keywords that your clients are using to find your products and services.
  • Use keywords that describe your products and services in your headline.
  • The “Experience” section also gives you 2,000 characters to show case your expertise. Make sure you include a few paragraphs that talk about what your company provides from a product/services perspective.

How do You know if your Social Media Strategy is Improving SEO?

All social media platforms have some sort of analytics feature that you can use to measure the attention your socials are getting. You can also look into social media engagement tools, which you can download and use to generate tables and graphs. You can compare the social media and website stats to see the effect the former has on the latter. Lastly, you can see the organic changes in your Google Analytics account.

3 Simple Small Business SEO Hacks

In this digital age of rivalry, every person that’s in business, especially small business companies, are eager to develop their effective SEO strategies to get your business off on the right foot with your digital presence business’s presence. With the changing trends in shopping and constant Google algorithm updates, an online presence is crucial to your success. In this article, I’ll provide suggestions from experts in marketing to develop a small-scale SEO strategy.

Is your small business just starting up and you’re looking for any way to kick start your SEO? Fear not, Onimod Global experts are here to help you with 3 simple small business SEO hacks.

1. Discover emerging search trends

Onimod Global experts advise all businesses, especially small businesses just starting out, to focus on optimization around certain topic groups with long tail keywords at each stage of their customer’s journey to reach specific customers. Google will continue to refine its algorithm, and they even do updates over 100 times a year. They have the ability to determine what content searchers are really after.

Small businesses should look for keyword opportunities and content gaps where they can add value by answering specific questions that their customers have.

2. Optimize your site for mobile

This is a non-negotiable for websites nowadays. Optimizing your website for mobile devices is essential to generally ensure you have aneffective SEO. Particularly, it’s more crucial for local SEO.

And the reason for this? Google’s data reveals that about 1/3 of mobile searches are based on location. This means for your small business, that most people looking for your service within your region are doing it while they are on the go with a smartphone. If your website isn’t functioning well on any mobile phones or other devices, there’s a good chance you’ll lose many potential customers.

Bryan Clayton, CEO of GreenPal, tells DreamHost blog, “Right out of the gate, there were major problems,” he says. “We assumed that the majority of our users would shop for a lawn care service from their desktop or laptop computer. But it became very clear, very quickly that more people were accessing the website from their mobile phones and tablets than from a desktop or laptop computer — 4-to-1.”

3. Share the stories of your customers

Onimod Global experts recommend for small businesses just beginning to start recording daily interactions with customers at any stage of their business, from inquiry and product comparison to actual sales or after-sales.

Make it easy for customers by including reminders and links to your Google Business Profile, Facebook, or other relevant review pages. Your Google Business Profile is actually even more important for generating leads than your website will be.

Think of what sparks your eye when you see a Google Business profile and all the details that are added. Ensure it’s completely filled out with accurate information. Make sure you’re using keywords in your business descriptions, and don’t be afraid to ask for reviews.

Mastering Storytelling Content in 2022

A well known shift in content marketing over the past 5 years has taken the form of storytelling. At its most basic definition, the digital storytelling process involves using a mixture of content and digital media to bring a narrative to life. Consumers have shown that a product or service that offers an experience is much more attractive to them. Storytelling takes content marketing to a whole new level where a customer is understood, inspired, compelled to use their imagination.

Principal analyst Brian Solis with Alimeter Group shares with MarketingLand what marketers must know today about the gap between content marketing and storytelling.

What should businesses know about storytelling?

Brian says: There are some common pillars of quality storytelling — and it all starts with knowing your audience, what they love/don’t love, what they value, etc.

Aside from the seven common plots of story, there are pillars that resonate with certain audiences, depending on their goals and yours. These include inspiration, usefulness, importance and inclusivity, just to name a few — and these apply to content marketing, too.

How does storytelling make an impact on digital marketing?

Digital storytelling is now crucial to a successful digital marketing campaign tying together several forms of media; social media at the forefront of this campaign. In any successful marketing campaign, the goal is to achieve wider engagement from your target audience and build up a loyal customer base that identify with your brand and cling to your product or service for longer. Storytelling in digital marketing addresses the needs of a fast-paced society in which people cut through a lot of ‘fluff content’ and look to receive information and consume content as fast as possible.

Capturing the attention of potential customers is an important step towards reaching one of your main goals – gaining your customers’ loyalty. That is why storytelling has become so important to the success of digital marketing. It sets apart vibrant brands from simple businesses and loyal consumers from one-time, stop-in shoppers.

Here are three ways storytelling impacts digital marketing and how you can benefit from it:

1. Build up trust with your audience

Traditional boring and straight-forward marketing doesn’t help you form a bond with consumers. Instead, it’s information-packed content overwhelming or boring the user and often reads like assembly instructions. Storytelling is much more intriguing and urges people to follow along engaging with the story. It addresses consumer pain points on a deeper, more intimate level and doesn’t give off the impersonal and cold vibes of a hard sell.

2. Connecting with your target audience

Most consumers have mastered an art of their own — ignoring sales pitches. These days, people are inundated with marketing ads. This has conditioned the brain to skim information and dismiss anything unattractive, simple, and mundane. Digital storytelling, however, can engage them in a manner that leaves them more receptive to marketing efforts.

3. Branding with a genuine meaning

Actions speak much louder than words for customers of 2022. Using digital storytelling to demonstrate how your company is dedicated to your mission, as well as your customers, can help you prove that you’re in it for the right reasons. Taking people along on your journey to show step by step how your business evolved, the experiences you’ve had, and how this helped you provide solutions to their problems will capture your audience’s attention and personify your business.

The refreshed UI will start rolling out over the next few months. Google plans to share the timeline of migration as the year goes on.

What is Search Ads 360?

Defined directly by Google, “Search Ads 360 is a search management platform that helps agencies and marketers efficiently manage some of the largest search marketing campaigns in the world, across multiple engines and media channels.” The pros of this platform has been streamlined workflow and reporting features that enable buyers to run their campaigns more efficiently, and automated bidding is included as well to improve campaign performance. Built-in integration with the Google Marketing Platform allows buyers to manage and track digital campaigns across a single platform, enabling rich, cross-channel buying, reporting and attribution.

What’s new in Search Ads 360?

Supports new Google features. The new version of Search Ads 360 was redesigned and relaunched using the same technology that powers Google Ads, the newer platform between the two. Having this common technology as the foundation enables support for most new Google Ads features, such as Performance Max and Discovery campaigns.

Support for other search engines. One of the main selling points for the updated 360 platform is the ability to manage your ads across different channels, including other search engines. Search Ads 360 allows Google to add support for more features from other search engines.

For example, the updated platform now supports additional Microsoft Advertising features, which includes responsive search ads, call extensions, and additional Microsoft audience types like customer match. Support for Yahoo! Japan’s Dynamic Ads for Search and sitelink extension scheduling are also now available.

Google will continue to add more features and channel support in the coming quarters.

New advanced features for enterprises. In addition to support for existing features, Google is also rolling out completely new features for Search Ads 360.

“For instance, the new Search Ads 360 takes enterprise workflows to the next level by giving you new ways to centralize and scale your day-to-day tasks and key activities — like campaign management, automated rules and labels — and you’ll now be able to make these changes across multiple advertisers at the same time,” Google said in the announcement.

The company is also making upgrades to existing features: The “Performance Center,” which will become available later this year, is touted as an improved budget management planner with support for enterprise planning capabilities, like improved forecasting across search engines.

And, the existing inventory management and ad builder tools will be unified into one feature, which will be called “Templates.” Templates is also expected to become available later this year.

Refreshed UI. Google also updated the interface of Search Ads 360, borrowing elements from the Google Ads and Microsoft Advertising UIs. This may make navigation more efficient since advertisers may already be familiar with it.
